Thessaloniki regional road closed for 48 hours for Flyover construction

The Eastern Internal Regional Road of Thessaloniki (EIR Τ) will be fully closed in both directions for 48 hours beginning at 23:00 on Friday 26 June 2026 to allow works on a new flyover. The closure covers the K11 (Pylaias‑Panorama) interchange, with traffic redirected via Prasakaki, John Kennedy and Elaiwn streets, and through the city centre via the Fóka road.

A secondary closure will affect the aerial bridge at the Pylaias‑Panorama crossing from about 05:00 on Saturday 27 June. Heavy vehicles over 3.5 tonnes will be prohibited on the EIR Τ between the K‑16 (Lachanagora) and K‑13 (Agios Pavlos) junctions on Saturday (08:00‑16:00) and Sunday (10:00‑22:00). Parking will also be banned on selected road sections from 18:00 Friday to 18:00 Sunday. Drivers are urged to avoid the closed sections, follow signage and comply with traffic officers to prevent accidents and congestion.
