Thessaloniki renovates sports facilities as national occupational games approach

The Municipality of Thessaloniki is set to deliver three renovated basketball courts on October 8. These facilities, located in Pasas Gardens, the 3rd Primary School of Triandria, and Kimon Vosgas Street, were provided through a donation from the Public Power Corporation (DEI). This initiative is part of a broader program to upgrade six basketball courts within the municipality to ensure safe and functional sports spaces for citizens.

Separately, the 14th National Occupational Sports Games will take place in Greece from October 9 to 11. Hosted at the Olympic Village Training Center, the event involves hundreds of athletes from various businesses and organizations. The competition serves as a precursor to the European Company Sports Games (ECSG) scheduled to be held in Athens in June 2027, which is expected to host over 6,000 athletes from more than 40 European countries.
