Thessaloniki ring road closures scheduled for Flyover construction
Major nighttime road closures are scheduled for the Thessaloniki ring road in Greece to facilitate the ongoing Flyover construction project. These closures will affect traffic in different sections on different nights.
On the night of Saturday, October 3, from 23:30 to 05:30 on Sunday, October 4, the Inner Peripheral Road will be closed in both directions between the K5 Papageorgiou and K6 Meteora junctions. Drivers traveling toward Halkidiki, Thessaloniki Airport, Kavala, and Katérini should expect diversions via the Sklavenitis exit and local urban networks.
On the nights of Monday, October 5, and Tuesday, October 6, from 23:30 to 05:30, the Thessaloniki Traffic Police will implement closures on the East Inner Peripheral Road. These interventions will specifically affect westbound traffic between the K10 (Konstantinopolitika) and K9 (Toumpa) junctions. Westbound vehicles will be diverted through Stagiriti, Grigoriou Lampraki, and Diagora streets, with reentry to the ring road possible via the K9 junction. Eastbound traffic toward Halkidiki and the airport is expected to proceed normally.
