Athens Metro Line 3 stations to close early for maintenance
Athens Metro Line 3 will undergo significant service changes due to ongoing track replacement works in the Eleonas – Monastiraki section. During the night hours, the stations of Eleonas, Kerameikos, and Monastiraki will close early at 21:40.
These disruptions are scheduled for two periods: from Sunday, September 27 to Thursday, October 1, and from Sunday, October 4 to Thursday, October 8. During these times, train traffic will operate between the Dimotiko Theatro – Egaleo and Syntagma – Dim. Plakentias – Airport sections.
To assist passengers, OASA is deploying a temporary X24 bus line connecting Syntagma Metro Station and Egaleo Metro Station.
Separately, STASY reported that the public transport network successfully managed a massive influx of approximately 35,000 passengers following a concert by Anna Vissi at OAKA. Line 1 operated with 19 trains, including 8 additional reinforcement services, to handle the crowd during the event.
