Thessaloniki to host major beer festival and basketball tournament in 2026

Thessaloniki will host two major events in late 2026. The Thessaloniki Beer Festival is scheduled for October 8–11 at Pavilion 16 of TIF HELEXPO. For its ninth consecutive year, the festival will feature over 30 beer kiosks and more than 150 beer labels from Greece and abroad, covering various categories such as Lager, IPA, and Stout. The event will include live music, street food, and beer gardens.

Additionally, the 33rd Mavroskoufia Basketball Tournament will take place from September 20–22, 2026, at the Ivanofeiom Gymnasium. Organized by the Thessaloniki Basketball Referees Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the tournament is part of the Alexander the Great International Games. The competition will feature EuroCup and FIBA Europe Cup level teams from Greece and abroad, including matchups involving Aris and Iraklis.
