Thessaloniki to host seminar on youth delinquency prevention

The Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE), the Institute of Local Government (ITA), and the Regional Union of Municipalities of Central Macedonia are organizing a seminar in Thessaloniki focused on youth delinquency. The event is scheduled for September 25, 2026, at the ‘Emilios Riadis’ Conference Center.

The seminar aims to present a new ‘Action Plan for the Prevention of Youth Delinquency,’ developed by KEDE’s Committee on Youth Crime and Delinquency with input from scientific experts. The initiative seeks to highlight the decisive role of local government in preventing and addressing youth delinquency through targeted policies, collaborations, and local interventions.

Participants will include representatives from the government, local authorities, and the scientific community. Key speakers include Lazaros Kyrizoglou, President of KEDE, and various regional and municipal officials. Invited government representatives include Deputy Ministers of Interior, Education, and Labor.
