Thessaly Region funds €400,000 road project in Livadi
The Thessaly Region has announced €400,000 in funding for an agricultural road construction project in Livadi, Elassona. Thessaly Regional Governor Dimitris Kouretas announced the decision during a visit to the area, where he met with Elassona Mayor Nikos Gatsas, local livestock farmers, and residents.
The funding comes after the Ministry of Rural Development did not approve the road program. Kouretas described the expenditure as a significant financial undertaking for the Region, intended to support Livadi as a productive center and improve access to numerous livestock farms and agricultural properties.
In addition to the roadwork, the Governor proposed a four-year development program in collaboration with the Municipality of Elassona to upgrade productive infrastructure, ensure water sufficiency, and modernize livestock facilities. Other planned projects for the area include the creation of an agricultural museum focused on wool processing.
