Thessaly Region participates in 18th OTS Forum

The Thessaly Region sent a delegation of approximately 35 officials, primarily from the Financial Directorate, to the 18th OTS Forum held in Ioannina. The forum focused on digital transformation and the modernization of public administration.

Key topics included digital governance, the reduction of bureaucracy, data utilization, and improving services for citizens and businesses. The participation aimed to train personnel in new digital technologies and prepare them for institutional changes brought about by the new Local Government Code.

The delegation was led by Athanasios Xafos, the Thematic Vice-Regional Governor of Finance, and included Executive Secretary Lazaros Makris and advisor Vas. Exarchos. The initiative seeks to ensure that administrative decisions are faster, legally documented, and more efficient through technological advancement.
