Thessaly Region supports AEL Futsal after Super League promotion

The Thessaly Region has expressed its support for AEL Futsal following the team's promotion to the Futsal Super League. Thessaly Governor Dimitris Kouretas met with the club's management to discuss the team's objectives and the development of futsal in the Larissa and Thessaly regions.

As the only team from Thessaly competing at the highest national level, AEL Futsal will face major opponents such as Panathinaikos, AEK, PAOK, and Douka. A primary focus of the meeting was securing the Neapoli Indoor Gymnasium as the team's home venue, as its specifications meet the requirements for the top division.

Governor Kouretas proposed organizing a two-day futsal tournament in Larissa involving both Greek and international teams to promote the sport. He emphasized that AEL Futsal now represents the entire region at the highest level of the sport.
