Thetford anti‑immigration protests lead to arrests and police injuries
Over two consecutive nights in early August 2026, crowds gathered in Thetford, Norfolk, to protest the use of local homes for asylum‑seeker accommodation. Demonstrators attempted to force entry into several properties, smashing windows and fences, and shouted slogans such as “We want them out”.
