They Are Gutting a Body of Water announces new 29-song mixtape

Philadelphia-based shoegaze band They Are Gutting a Body of Water has announced a new 29-song mixtape titled ‘Kool Faith / Loosies II’. The project is scheduled for digital release on October 16 and physical release on November 20 via ATO Records and Julia’s War.

Bandleader Doug Dulgarian described the project as a collection of mashups inspired by the traditional concept of mixtapes created by DJs. The release features a wide array of collaborators, including Spirit of the Beehive, Hotline TNT, RXK Nephew, Cashier, and Full Body 2.

To preview the mixtape, the band released three new tracks: ‘Kool Marder’ (featuring Cashier), ‘The Rook’, and ‘Free Willy’. This announcement follows their recent album, ‘Lotto’, and precedes a headlining tour across the United States scheduled to run through December.
