Thái VG attempts ballad performance on music game show

Rapper Thái VG, known as a pioneer of rap in Vietnam, attempted a musical departure during the second performance phase of the game show "Anh Trai Vượt Ngàn Chông Gai." Moving away from his specialized melodic rap style, Thái VG took on the role of team leader to perform a ballad titled "Ánh sáng của đời tôi" alongside teammates Hoàng Dũng, Jun Phạm, and Hoàng Rob.

Despite the strategic decision to step out of his comfort zone, the performance faced challenges. Due to difficulties with Vietnamese pronunciation and a lack of vocal training, the transitions between his singing and rapping—often switching between Vietnamese and English—resulted in disrupted melodies and emotional inconsistencies. While the performance was not as seamless as expected, the move was noted as a significant effort to break personal boundaries within the competition.
