Thiago Almada draws interest from Flamengo, Juventus and other clubs

Atlético Madrid midfielder Thiago Almada, a member of Argentina’s World Cup squad, is at the centre of a developing transfer saga. Brazilian side Flamengo is reportedly preparing a formal proposal that could exceed €30 million for 100 % of his economic rights, according to Brazilian portal UOL. River Plate had previously reached a verbal agreement with Atlético Madrid for a €20 million deal covering 50 % of the player’s rights.

Italian club Juventus has re‑opened talks about acquiring Almada, this time considering a loan arrangement. Negotiations involve complex clauses, including a clause that Atlético might cover part of the player's wages while he is in Italy. Other suitors mentioned in the media include Saudi club Al Ahli and other European teams.

Almada’s contract with Atlético Madrid runs until 2030, and he has limited playing time in Spain, prompting interest from clubs promising more minutes. No final decision has been announced, and the player is currently focused on his World Cup duties with Argentina.
