Thiago Aquino records “Nas Alturas” in Rio’s Rocinha favela
Brazilian arrocha singer Thiago Aquino will film the audiovisual project “Nas Alturas” on 2 August 2026 in the Rocinha favela of Rio de Janeiro. The recording is set for a well‑known rooftop (láje) in the community and will feature guest performers Natanzinho Lima, Glória Groove and Vitinho.
Following the shoot, Aquino will stage a full concert for Rocinha residents, extending the event into a larger public celebration. “Nas Alturas” previously held an edition two years earlier in Paraisópolis, São Paulo, and the Rio project marks its latest chapter.
