Thiago Camilo wins at Curvelo to lead NASCAR Brasil championship

Thiago Camilo secured his first oval victory during the seventh stage of the NASCAR Brasil 2026 season at the Circuito dos Cristais in Curvelo, Minas Gerais. Driving the Ford #21 for Full Time Sports, Camilo completed 32 laps in 24:25.271, narrowly defeating Arthur Gama by 0.268 seconds. This win allows Camilo to take the lead in the regular championship.

In the same event, Tito Giaffone faced a challenging weekend in his second full season. After being involved in an incident during the first race on Sunday, Giaffone managed to secure seventh place in the Challenge class during the second race. Giaffone noted the difficulty of overtaking on the Curvelo oval and expressed optimism about upcoming stages in Chapecó and Brasília to improve his championship standing.
