Thiagus Petrus promotes handball development and competes in Europe

Brazilian handball player Thiagus Petrus is working to improve the sport in his hometown of Juiz de Fora. Following a professional career in Europe and two Olympic appearances, Petrus met with municipal sports officials to discuss integrating high-performance expertise into local sports policies, including expanding municipal schools and youth tournaments.

Simultaneously, Brazilian athletes continue to compete at high levels in European leagues. In Hungary, Thiagus Petrus scored twice for Veszprém in a victory over Dabas. In Romania, Vinicios Carvalho contributed to Dinamo București’s win against Steaua București. In Poland, Jhennifer Lopes recorded three assists for MKS Lublin during a victory over Galychanka Lviv.
