Thibau Nys announces selective cyclocross season schedule

Belgian cyclocross champion Thibau Nys has announced a selective schedule for the upcoming season, consisting of eighteen races. To maintain focus on his road cycling ambitions, Nys will not compete every weekend. His program includes eight World Cup rounds in locations such as Ostrava, Tabor, Namen, and Besançon, as well as Gavere, Benidorm, Hamme, and Hoogerheide.

Nys will defend his Belgian championship title in Bilzen on January 10 and compete in the World Championships in Ostend on January 31. His season opener will be the Koppenbergcross in Oudenaarde on November 1.

Meanwhile, Eli Iserbyt expressed his anticipation for the new season, noting the importance of new talents and strong personalities to revitalize the sport. While Iserbyt welcomes the emergence of young riders, he noted that Nys's later start to the season could impact the opening weeks of competition.
