Thibaut Courtois says he will finish his career at Real Madrid, not return to Belgium

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, 34, reiterated that his ambition is to end his playing days with the Spanish club. Speaking after his 110th cap for Belgium, he said, "My dream and my goal is to finish my career at Real Madrid." Courtois also confirmed an investment stake in his former Belgian club KRC Genk but ruled out any possibility of playing there again, stating that his time at Genk is over and that the club has strong young goalkeepers developing.

He hinted that the upcoming World Cup in 2026 will likely be his last major tournament for Belgium, emphasizing his focus on his role at Real Madrid rather than a return to the Jupiler Pro League.
