Thibo Baeten goal disallowed despite Go Ahead Eagles win

During a match between Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II, Belgian player Thibo Baeten had a remarkable goal disallowed due to a refereeing error. In stoppage time, Baeten struck a shot into the top corner, but referee Robin Hensgens blew his whistle for a foul just as the shot was taken.

Despite the frustration of seeing the goal nullified, Baeten maintained a sporting attitude. He noted that "the referee is also a human" and mentioned that Hensgens approached him afterward to apologize, stating, "I offer my apologies, it is my mistake."

Go Ahead Eagles secured a 4-1 victory. Coach Joseph Oosting expressed satisfaction with the team's performance and confidence following their 2-1 lead at halftime, while acknowledging the disappointment of the disallowed goal for Baeten.
