Thierry Lhermitte discusses long marriage and career rumors

French actor Thierry Lhermitte has shared insights into his personal life and career during a recent media tour promoting his one-man show, ‘La Rencontre’.

During appearances on programs such as ‘Quelle Époque !’, Lhermitte discussed his 52-year marriage to Hélène Aubert. He attributed the longevity of their relationship, which began in 1974, to a deep emotional compatibility and a shared balance between security and uncertainty. Aubert has also made subtle appearances in films produced by the Splendid comedy troupe.

Lhermitte also addressed long-standing rumors regarding his private life. He explicitly denied past misinformation suggesting he had been in a relationship with the late singer Charles Trenet at the Cannes Film Festival, noting that he never actually met the performer.
