Grosseto Holiday Apartments Stolen of Cash and Valuables During Dinner
On Friday, 24 July, a group of thieves broke into four holiday apartments at a rural lodging in the northern part of the province of Grosseto, Italy. Taking advantage of the guests being dining out, the burglars forced open the safes in the rooms and stole cash and other valuables. After the theft, the perpetrators fled through the surrounding woods, making immediate tracking difficult.
Carabinieri officers arrived at the scene, secured the site and began an investigation. Authorities are reviewing any video‑surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses and working to quantify the total loss, which has not yet been disclosed.
The incident is under active investigation, with police aiming to identify and apprehend the suspects.
