Third Victim Hospitalized After Armed Robbery in Cochabamba, Bolivia
Authorities confirmed a third person was injured during an armed robbery on Ayacucho Avenue near the Cochabamba bus terminal. The new victim, a man, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Hospital Viedma, where he remains stable but will require surgery.
The robbery, which occurred on Monday night at about 19:30, left one free‑trader dead and two other people wounded earlier. Police cordoned the area and launched an investigation, but no arrests have been made so far. Prosecutor Edson Orellana said the case remains open as investigators seek to determine how many participants were involved. The victim's wife attempted to stop the transfer of the deceased's body to the forensic institute.
