Thirumavalavan confirms VCK participation in TVK consultative meeting

Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and Member of Parliament, addressed reporters at Coimbatore airport regarding political developments. He confirmed that the VCK will participate in a second consultative meeting with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on September 9, as the VCK is a party included in the cabinet.

Thirumavalavan noted that the Chief Minister's resolution to withdraw cases against farmers, teachers, government employees, and sanitation workers is a positive step. He also highlighted that Minister Vanniyarasu indicated the potential introduction of an honor killing prevention law, following a nine-month extension for the commission led by Justice K.N. Pasha to submit its report.

When questioned about actor Vijay being a potential Prime Ministerial candidate in 2029, Thirumavalavan dismissed the question as premature, stating it is not the time to discuss the 2029 parliamentary elections.
