This is England film scheduled for Blu-ray release

The film ‘This is England’, directed by Shane Meadows, is being released for home viewing on Blu-ray on September 24.

Set in 1983 Britain, the story follows twelve-year-old Shaun, who seeks community within a skinhead clique following the death of his father in the Falklands War. The narrative explores themes of youth culture and social tension during the Thatcher era, specifically focusing on how the group shifts from a sense of belonging toward radicalization following the release of a character named Combo from prison. The film has previously received recognition including a BAFTA and two BIFAs.
