Thokchom Diamond Singh makes senior debut for SC Delhi

Sixteen-year-old midfielder Thokchom Diamond Singh has made his senior football debut for SC Delhi during the Durand Cup. Appearing as a late substitute in a match against Defenders FC at Birsa Munda Stadium, Singh provided a brief glimpse of his potential with a shot on goal in the 85th minute.

Singh’s progression highlights the structure of India’s youth football development. His training began at age four at the TYDA Football Academy in Manipur, followed by stints at the FC Imphal City Football Academy, Sudeva Delhi’s youth system, and the Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools. His journey through these AIFF-accredited programs has led him to his first senior contract and participation in the Durand Cup.
