Tholey and Moosbach host lively local music concerts
In the German town of Tholey, the youth and city orchestra from São Vendelino performed a German‑Brazilian program on the Schaumberg plateau. The 40‑member ensemble, led by conductor Davi Dessotti, blended traditional German folk tunes, Brazilian rhythms and rock‑n‑roll hits, drawing enthusiastic applause from the audience gathered by municipal officials Wolfgang Recktenwald and Mayor Andreas Maldener.
Meanwhile, in Moosbach's Generationspark, the Austropop band Saitenwind concluded the 2026 summer serenade series with a two‑hour show that attracted over 500 guests. Band members Thorsten Horn, Florian “Vitus” Schönberger and vocalist Marion Weißmeyer delivered Bavarian and Austrian songs, prompting the crowd to sing along. The event also featured performances by South‑Tyrolean poet Herbert Pixner and other regional artists, and was praised by Mayor Armin Bulenda.
Both concerts highlighted the strong community interest in live music and cultural exchange across Germany’s smaller towns.
