Thom Haye Instagram account disappears after Persib vs Bali United match

Following a match between Persib Bandung and Bali United in the Dewata Challenge Series 2026, Dutch-naturalized player Thom Haye’s Instagram account, @thomhaye, has disappeared from the platform. This has led to speculation that the midfielder may have intentionally deactivated his account.

During the match at Stadion Kapten I Wayan Dipta, Haye demonstrated sportsmanship by kicking the ball out of play after seeing a teammate injured, requesting that Bali United return the ball. Despite this gesture, the referee continued play, leading to a brief confrontation and two red cards. Haye was later substituted for Balsa Sekulic and was notably absent from the team's trophy celebrations.

Persib Bandung coach Igor Tolić noted that Haye is still in the early stages of adaptation, having joined training camps only recently. Haye must soon transition from club duties to training with the Indonesian National Team in preparation for the 2026 AFF Cup.
