Thomas Adt, audio industry veteran, passes away

Thomas Adt, a prominent figure in the German professional sound reinforcement industry, passed away on October 26 following a short, serious illness.

A trained musicologist, Adt transitioned from live sound expertise in the late 1980s to sales in the early 1990s. He spent 17 years shaping the brand identity of HK Audio, working closely with small and medium-sized businesses from his base in Saarland.

In 2010, Adt joined L-Acoustics, where he contributed to the company's development within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) until 2022. Even in retirement, he remained active in the industry, providing technical sales consultancy and participating in professional events such as leat con 24.
