Thomas Andre and Colombe Julia win Offshore Double Handed World Championship
Thomas Andre and Colombe Julia (FRA01) won the 2026 Offshore Double Handed World Championship following a dramatic final race. The 190NM course, which ran from Cannes toward Marseille, concluded on Friday, 2 October, after a competitive battle influenced by shifting wind conditions.
During the final hours, the lead fluctuated among four different boats due to light and fickle winds. While Annie Stevenson and Peter Winter (AUS01) held the lead on the final morning, Andre and Julia utilized a tactical approach near the cliffs to find more breeze and reclaim the lead. They crossed the finish line at 12:20:26, approximately two days after the race began.
The podium was completed by Annie Stevenson and Peter Winter in second place, and Jonas Gerckens and Djemila Tassin (BEL01) in third. The race featured diverse conditions, starting with 20-knot winds and one-to-two-metre seas before transitioning into calmer stretches.
