Vaterland film explores Thomas Mann’s return to divided Germany
The new film ‘Vaterland’, directed by Paweł Pawlikowski, has officially released in German cinemas. The film serves as a biographical road movie centered on the 1949 return of Nobel Prize-winning author Thomas Mann to his divided homeland after sixteen years in exile in the United States.
