Thomas Meunier linked to Anderlecht and Valencia as free transfer approaches

Belgian right‑back Thomas Meunier, 34, will become a free agent on 1 July after ending his contract with Lille. Both Spanish club Valencia and Belgian Pro League sides Anderlecht and Antwerp have shown interest.

Valencia’s pursuit depends on whether the deal fits the club’s wage structure and budget, while Anderlecht has already submitted an offer to fill a gap left by injured full‑back Ilay Camara. Antwerp is also monitoring the situation. Meunier, a regular for Belgium at the World Cup, has not yet confirmed his next destination.

No agreement has been reached, and discussions are ongoing as clubs assess the financial and squad implications of signing the former Lille defender.
