Thomas Müller reflects on TV analyst debut ahead of return to Vancouver Whitecaps
Thomas Müller, the 2014 World Cup champion, said he enjoyed his first stint as a TV analyst for MagentaTV during the recent FIFA World Cup, working alongside future Germany coach Jürgen Klopp and former teammate Mats Hummels. He will appear as an analyst for two more matches – the round‑of‑16 on 7 July in Vancouver and the final on 19 July in New York – before resuming his playing career with the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Müller confirmed that the Whitecaps will face Cavalry FC in the Canadian Championship quarter‑final on 9 July at Swangard Stadium near Vancouver. He said he feels “good” and “ready to get back on the pitch” after the television experience, noting that the team atmosphere built with the broadcast crew has been positive.
The German forward expressed that he misses the “football talks” and looks forward to rejoining the Whitecaps for the upcoming matches.
