Thomas Poitevin leaves France Inter morning show
Comedian Thomas Poitevin has announced his departure from the France Inter morning show, ‘La Grande Matinale’, less than a month after joining the program. Poitevin, who began his role in late August, had been providing a humor segment at 7:58 AM.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Poitevin described the move as a “personal and fully considered artistic decision.” He explained that the extremely short time slot, lasting approximately two and a half minutes, made it impossible for him to effectively create a “bubble of fiction” for listeners within such an intense broadcast sequence.
Poitevin noted that he felt welcomed by the production team and clarified that his departure was not due to any issues with the staff. He succeeds Bertrand Chameroy in the role, who had previously occupied the slot for one season.
