Thomas Ramos to join Racing 92 from Stade Toulousain in 2027

Thomas Ramos, the all-time leading points scorer for Stade Toulousain, has agreed to join Racing 92 in 2027 on a three-year contract. The move, described as a sensational transfer within France's Top 14 championship, follows Ramos's long career with Toulouse, where he won six French championships and two European titles.

Ramos reportedly seeks a new sporting challenge and a transition into the number 10 position, a move seen as more feasible at Racing 92. His departure comes amid broader roster management challenges for Stade Toulousain, as the club navigates salary cap regulations and manages several key players whose contracts expire in 2027.

In addition to Ramos, third-line player François Cros is also facing contract uncertainty. While Toulouse aims to retain him, the club's current economic policy and upcoming salary cap adjustments may limit their ability to offer veteran players salaries commensurate with their status.
