Thomas Silva wins Clasica Castilla y Leon for second consecutive day

Uruguayan cyclist Thomas Silva of the XDS Astana Team secured a back‑to‑back victory by winning the 40th Clasica Castilla y Leon. The one‑day race covered 190.6 km from Benavente to Lubián in Spain and featured a decisive final climb where Silva launched a solo attack, finishing ahead of the field.

Roger Adrià of the Movistar Team completed the podium in second place, while his teammate Christian Scaroni took third. Silva's win follows his triumph the previous day at the Ordizia Classic, marking an exceptional end‑of‑season form.

The race saw a large breakaway early on, with several riders contesting the final uphill finish. Silva's explosive finish broke the group, and he maintained his lead to the finish line.
