Thomas Stein recovers after emergency brain surgery and coma

In February 2026, 77‑year‑old former "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" juror Thomas Stein suffered a severe brain hemorrhage while out for a walk. His wife rushed him to a clinic where doctors performed an emergency craniotomy to drain the blood, after which he spent six days in an artificial coma on intensive care.
