Thomas Strakosha to miss four Nations League matches with wrist fracture
Albanian goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha will miss the start of the Nations League due to a wrist fracture. The AEK player sustained the injury on September 5 during a Greek league match against Aris.
While AEK coach Marko Nikolić initially described the injury as non-serious, medical examinations confirmed a fracture that requires approximately one month of recovery. Strakosha has already missed AEK's Champions League match against LASK.
The injury will sideline the 29-year-old for four upcoming international fixtures: Albania vs. Belarus on September 26, San Marino vs. Albania on September 29, Finland vs. Albania on October 3, and Albania vs. San Marino on October 6. National team coach Rolando Maran faces a significant challenge heading into the campaign without one of his primary goalkeepers.
