Thomas Tuchel expresses sympathy for Raheem Sterling
England manager Thomas Tuchel has expressed sympathy for Raheem Sterling, noting that the player is going through a difficult period. Speaking ahead of England’s Nations League match against Croatia, Tuchel remarked that he feels for Sterling, who has struggled since leaving Manchester City during the peak of his career.
Sterling is currently without a club following a stint at Feyenoord. His recent challenges include legal issues after pleading guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court to dangerous driving and possession of nitrous oxide following a vehicle crash.
Tuchel, who previously worked closely with Sterling at Chelsea FC, described him as a dedicated family man and expressed hope that Sterling can turn his situation around, stating, “My thoughts are naturally with him, I continue to believe that he can turn it around.”
