Thomas Tuchel says England will struggle to replace Harry Kane
England manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that the national team will struggle to find a direct replacement for Harry Kane once the striker eventually retires. Tuchel described Kane as a ‘complete package,’ noting his exceptional finishing ability combined with a high work ethic.
Following England’s 2-0 Nations League victory over Czechia, Kane scored his 87th international goal. The Bayern Munich striker is now 13 goals away from reaching the 100-goal milestone and is approaching the record for most appearances for England, currently sitting at 123 caps.
While there is no immediate need to replace him, Tuchel suggested that the team may look toward unconventional solutions, such as utilizing Jude Bellingham in a central forward role. Tuchel emphasized that while other players will emerge, none will be a direct copy of Kane.
