Thompson-Nicola Regional District offers grant assistance to non-profits

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) is providing assistance to non-profit organizations through its Community Grant Writer program. The initiative is designed to help non-profits within the TNRD’s 10 Electoral Areas navigate the process of finding and applying for project funding.

The program’s grant writers assist with researching suitable opportunities, developing applications, and ensuring all necessary supporting documentation, such as business plans and financial statements, is included. Since its launch in May 2025, the program has supported over 50 non-profit organizations and helped them apply for more than $250,000 in funding over the past year.

Requests for assistance are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, the TNRD publishes a quarterly newsletter to inform groups of current opportunities. The Fall 2026 edition features 14 grant opportunities from entities including United Way, Teck, New Gold, Trees Canada, and the BC Interior Community Foundation.
