THOR opens logistics park in Jáchal to support mining

THOR has officially inaugurated its Logistics Park and Operations Center in Jáchal, San Juan, occupying a 300-hectare site formerly used by Fabricaciones Militares. Located on National Route 150, the facility will serve as a strategic hub for equipment maintenance, storage, and the distribution of supplies for the province's major mining projects.

The new base will centralize services including drilling, blasting, and the commercialization of explosives. Additionally, THOR announced plans for a future ANFO plant to be developed in partnership with Orica Argentina, which aims to expand industrial capacity for key mining inputs.

Local authorities, including Jáchal Mayor Matías Espejo, highlighted the project's role in reactivating the industrial area and generating local employment. The workforce includes specialized personnel, including former employees of Fabricaciones Militares, to leverage their technical expertise.
