Thorsten Legat retires from reality TV to coach FC Germania Mallorca

Thorsten Legat, a former professional footballer and reality TV personality, has announced his departure from long-term reality television productions. Legat, 57, stated that his primary focus has shifted back to football following his appointment as head coach of FC Germania Mallorca.

Legat explained that his responsibilities toward his players prevent him from participating in multi-week TV shoots, though he may not rule out single days of filming. He emphasized a commitment to professionalism, noting that he requires his players to address him formally.

FC Germania Mallorca is currently competing in the eighth Spanish league and is funded by sponsors. Club president Amir Aziz has set an ambitious goal for the organization, aiming for at least three promotions within the next five years to reach the fifth league and enter regional football. The club's management team includes Aleks Petrovic, who serves as Managing and Marketing Director.
