Prijedor and RS National Assembly receive jihadist threats

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska received an electronic threat targeting Christian citizens and calling for the establishment of an ‘Islamic Republic’. The message, sent by an individual identifying as a member of ‘jihad in BiH’, demanded the ‘liquidation of all baptized people’ and the collection of weapons and funds to support jihad in Prijedor and throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Nenad Stevandić, President of the National Assembly, stated that the entity must remain vigilant, noting that while the sender may not be mentally stable, the threat of terrorism must be taken seriously. The Prijedor City Administration also urged citizens to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information as authorities work to identify the sender.

Separately, the Government of Republika Srpska has submitted a report to the United Nations Security Council. The document asserts that the entity remains committed to the Dayton Peace Agreement and criticizes the Office of the High Representative (OHR) for undermining the constitutional order and the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina through interventionist decisions.
