Three British men arrested in connection with Estepona shooting

Spanish authorities have arrested three British nationals in Orihuela Costa in connection with a July shooting in Estepona. The victim, a 31-year-old Lithuanian man, survived after being shot four times near the Sonora beach club in a public parking area.

Following the investigation, police conducted searches in the La Zenia area, where they seized weapons, drugs, and suspected false documentation. Two of the suspects have been remanded in custody on multiple charges, including suspected attempted murder and membership in a criminal organization.

Investigators believe the shooting is linked to gangland-related feuds and potential drug disputes. The incident, which occurred during the peak summer tourist season, has prompted a broader crackdown on organized crime in the Malaga province, with the Spanish government increasing police presence to address escalating violence in the region.
