Brazil reports multiple fatal and serious traffic accidents
A series of severe traffic accidents across various Brazilian states has resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. In Mato Grosso, five people, including three children, died after a car collided head-on with a truck on the MT-140 in Nova Brasilândia.
In Pará, a truck collision involving two motorcycles killed one woman and left another in serious condition in Paragominas. The driver was apprehended after allegedly consuming alcohol and speeding. In Trairão, a collision between two heavy trucks on the BR-163 left one driver dead.
Other notable incidents include a fatal collision between a tour bus and a refrigerated truck on the BR-381 in Minas Gerais, which caused one death and 41 injuries. In Rio Branco, Acre, a motorcyclist died in a head-on collision with a truck on the BR-364, and another accident involving a car and a motorcycle left two people seriously injured.
Additional accidents were reported in Goiás, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul, involving various vehicle types including cars, motorcycles, and trucks, leading to further injuries and property damage.
