Puebla heavy rain claims life as tree falls on car, injuring another
Intense rain and strong winds in Puebla caused a tree to collapse onto a sedan on the Recta a Cholula near 49 South, in the Belisario Domínguez colonia. The falling tree crushed the vehicle, killing a woman estimated to be about 50 years old and injuring another occupant.
The incident occurred amid widespread flooding and additional tree falls on the Puebla‑Tlaxcala federal road and Avenida Juárez. Municipal emergency services, including the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana, Protección Civil and Public Services, activated the Tláloc Committee command center to conduct rescue, clean‑up and traffic control operations.
