Three dead in Osasco highway crash on Castello Branco, Brazil

A late‑night collision on the Castello Branco highway in Osasco, São Paulo, resulted in a vehicle fire and three fatalities – two adults and a child – while a fourth occupant was injured. According to authorities, a Honda Civic traveling east on the marginal rear‑ended a Renault Kwid, which burst into flames. Firefighters, police, and emergency medical teams responded after the crash was reported at 23:49, working through the night to control the blaze and clear the scene by 04:00.

The accident blocked the roadway for about five kilometres, causing significant traffic delays. The concessionaire CCR Via Oeste, the State Highway Police and forensic investigators secured the area and began an investigation into the cause of the crash, which remains under review.
