Three dead in suspected double-murder suicide in Skillman

Authorities in Montgomery Township are investigating what appears to be a double-murder suicide following the discovery of three bodies in a large residence in the Skillman section.

Police were originally called to a home on Wild Azalea Lane on Thursday afternoon to conduct a wellness check. After receiving no response, officers left the scene. It was not until Friday evening, more than 24 hours later, that police were able to enter the six-bedroom house.

Inside, officers discovered the bodies of two women in separate bedrooms; both victims appeared to have been shot. A man was also found dead near a firearm, with evidence suggesting a self-inflicted gunshot wound. All three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. The Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has scheduled autopsies to confirm the identities and the exact cause and manner of death.
