Three East Java DPRD members arrested in Surabaya drug raid

Three members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) from the Gerindra Party were arrested during a police raid at a hotel in the Ketintang area of Surabaya, East Java. The officials, identified by the initials ARR (Situbondo DPRD), ADR (Banyuwangi DPRD), and UAM (Malang DPRD), were caught participating in drug use.

Police also detained a businessman from Banyuwangi, identified as N, along with five other individuals. During the raid, officers found eight people in a state of intoxication and seized various narcotics evidence, including used methamphetamine.

The Banyuwangi National Narcotics Board (BNN) confirmed that four of the individuals have been transferred to their office for assessment. Following an integrated assessment by the Surabaya BNN, the suspects have been designated to undergo outpatient rehabilitation.
