Three family members, including an elderly couple and their 18-year-old grandson, died in a house fire in Taman Desa Tambun, Ipoh, early Sunday morning. The victims have been identified as Raja Ahmad Raja Ali, 70, Zaitun Mohamed, 64, and Nik Abdurrahman Azimin Harith Helal, 18.

The fire broke out at approximately 4:00 am in a two-storey terraced house. Firefighters from the Tambun and Ipoh stations responded to the scene, finding that roughly 70 percent of the structure had been consumed by flames.

Authorities reported that the 70-year-old man was found in a ground-floor bathroom, while the other two victims were located on the upper floor. A 47-year-old man, who was sleeping in the house's parking area, managed to survive the incident. While six people reside in the home, only four were present when the fire started. The fire was fully extinguished by 8:00 am, and the victims were handed over to the police.
